Nilton Pereira de Melo, brasileiro, nascido em 10/12/1956
Formado pela Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV- Cuba- 1989

Experiência Profissional

Coordenador da TV Viva desde 1994 e membro de sua equipe desde 1984, ao longo dos anos autou como fotógrafo e diretor de inúmeros documentários sobre manifestações da cultura afro-pernambucana.

Realiza vídeos cartas culturais entre Brasil e países irmãos:

“Desde Cuba hasta Pernambuco”, “Desde Pernambuco hasta Cuba - 2005

“Recife/Dakar” e “Dakar/Recife” - 2010

Atualmente dirige o programa “Som na Rural”, na Tv Brasil

E em fase de montagem o longa “Pernamcubanos”  rodado em Cuba e Pernambuco. 2008/2010

Nilton Pereira de Melo, was born in December, 10th of 1956 in the state of Paraíba, Brazil. He is a video-maker and was graduated in 1989 from the 

Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV, based in Cuba.

Professional Experience

Nilton Pereira is coordinator of the TV Viva since  1994 and member of its staff since 1984. 

Over the years, he has worked as photographer and director in numerous social and cultural documentaries, including works focusing in the african cultural manifestations in the Northeast of Brazil.

He has created videos-letters related to the cultural ties between Brazil and its brotherly countries, like:

• "From Cuba to Pernambuco ", "From Pernambuco to Cuba in  2005
• "From Recife to Dakar", From Dakar to Recife in 2010.

He is currently directing the television  program "O Som da Rural" on the Brazil TV and is finalizing his first long-documentary for cinema "The Pernancubanos", shooted in Cuba and in Pernambuco.
